I just purchased the Exaco Aerobin 400 - it will arrive in a couple of weeks. It says yous tin can compost "baneful weeds." Can you compost things like toxicant ivy and lily of the valley in it? Lily of the valley is poisonous if ingested, and poison ivy is not something I'd desire to spread effectually.

Thank you for your enquiry. The Aerobin is a great composter to be looking at for your climate, although we do but carry the Aerobin 400 at this time. The composting process does produce its own heat due to the activity and digestion by the microorganisms, so it does not rely on outside temperature. However, during colder months the microorganisms do slow down and decomposition and rut in the pile volition also tedious downward. During this time you may continue to add your kitchen scraps to your pile – when it warms upwardly the pile will begin to exist active again.
